23. What pitfalls and scams to avoid

Los Angeles is the center of the world for weirdos, losers, and criminals.  And these people are the ones trying to become your friends, and buying you beers.  Yes, it’s that hard.  It’s okay to be social, and open.  But be sure to be very selective with your trust.  Don’t get screwed by a scam artist.
That same adage goes for the entertainment industry.  There are a few known facts that remain true, and can easily identify the snakes around you.  Never pay for representation.  No matter what.  We will go over some other frequently found types of people and actions that you must avoid, so you keep your money, your reputation and your integrity.
